Valencia Oranges

Back in Brisbane last night! flight was ok and nice shows on board. Clearing of custom was consider fast and we had our friend to fetch us.

On the way back, everything seems so farmilar yet not. I guess I still need some time to re-adjust back. When we reached home, we had a shock! Darlin wanna check if the car can start and so we open the garage door. To our horror, it can’t be opened. And when we check the main elect outlet, a sticker had been pasted over the button with a warning message. Our electricity had been cut off because we did not pay for three months??!! But we were away and we did call them before we left. We even talked to the officer and she advised us to pay when we came back. We called the Energex’s hotline and was receive by this very smug lady. Darlin explained the situation but the lady just interrupt and say that she do not want to argue and asked in a haste tone if we are paying or not. We have no choice but to pay the reconnection fees via visa to have everything reinstate. It was really late and we were kinda desparate but I was darn pissed off with that person’s attitude. I think just because we don’t sound local, we were subjected to this kinda attitude.

Anyway, electricity was back within an hour but we realised we can’t start the car since it’s sitting in the garage for the past 3 mths. Our kind neighbours lended us his car to charged but by this morning, the battery was flat again. Thankfully, there’s a mechanic just down the road and darlin managed to change a new battery for $110 odd dollars. And yea, that’s not all. We found that our phone line is cut too. We called Telstra and realised that it’s a socket problem. Thank goodness, if not we have to pay again. And this morning, Telstra just call and rushed us to pay the telephone bill. But they are kinder to us when we explained that we were jsut back from a three months vacation. So many bills to pay! Energex, Origin, Telstra and heaps more.

Oh man… thank god darlin is around. I would not have known what to do without him. Probably if this happens, I’ll just buy a ticket and fly back to Singapore.

I think I’ve the best-est girlfriends cum ex-colleagues. Lifei, Jessie and Anne. Though I did not meet up with Anne tonight, I had supper with Jessie, Lifei and her hubby to be, Steven. Many says that it’s hard to form friendship when you reach adulthood which I used to agree until I met these fine ladies. To me, I’ll give up all the handsome guys at the workplace just for them. I mean it! haha.. Ok it’s a bit cheesy but yes it’s real.

It had been almost two years since I’ve left the company but not once did we not keep in touch. They always make it a point to send me off or meet me up though they had to rush to the airport from work. All these greatly touches my heart and I’ll always remember that. They are truly friends who I can call gem. I can just chat with them without feeling guarded and I can just bull shit and yet they still ‘entertain’ me. Thank you for putting up with me and my nonsense.

I want my darlin to wear white suits too! I’m sure he will look just as good! hehehe..

Met up with secondary school mates and had a fun evening chatting away. Gosh! It had been so long since we met. Sec school mates are the most fun I guess. We kinda knew each other when we were kids and hence are not as guarded against each other as with new friendship formed. I’ll definately look forward to more of this kinda gathering.

It was already past midnight by the time the gathering ends. The best friend was very to send me back and offer me a ride on his new bike. Wow..what a ride! Ok..I’ve never been on a bike before and always had phobia about being in the pillion seat but the best friend was such a steady driver. I trusted him completely! I guess I will only trust the best friend and my dearest darlin on such thing. haha.. Alright, that’s about it.

Yesterday night was all Chivas and Jim Bean. The guys were high and enjoyed themselves thoroughly at Barcelona. Less then 6 hours and we are in Changi Airport Terminal one. Having already paid for the flight tix, we’ll making full use of the free internet access.

Will be boarding in an hour time to Bangkok! More shopping! Wow..I love holidaying! Tian, mummy and friends! I will miss you! hehe!

I was doing some housekeeping on my computer when I came across this two pics. I realised that women really aged more and at a faster rate than man. It’s true! just compare the two pics. It’s only taken 2 years after one another but I look horribly old..OLD! while the guys stay the stay.

Ok, one could say that it’s due to the camera or whatever BUT in this case, this very same camera was used for the two occasion and it’s a very good and expensive one. So, not the camera’s fault.

New year came and went. It been a week since new year and I haven’t been updating my blog since then. Plenty of pic but i’m darn lazy to put them up! hahaha…And yea, I bought a new panasonic digital camera and it’s not too bad.

Nothing much except the Chinese New Year celebration. The usual gambling and fun with all the cousins and friends. But these few days we are rather bothered. Darlin and I had been rather busy with our uni stuff. Screwed up courses and I don’t even wanan talk about it. Just hope everything goes on smoothly. On a brighter side, darlin and I will be having our mini Valentine day celebration over in Bangkok. We managed to get the flight ticket at a bargain and I consider it a steal! For the accomodation, we decided to stay somewhere better since we saved on the flight ticket. All in all, $252 for 4 days 3 nights!
