March 2006

Some of the pics I took after school today. I really love the colors of the sky. I don’t know why but it always reminds me home.

Michael Buble - Home

Another summer day
Another winter day, has gone by
In either Paris or Rome…
and I wanna to go home
…Home
and I’m surrounded by
a million people I
still feel all alone
I wanna go home
I miss you

And I’ve been keeping all the letters
that I wrote to you,
Each one a line or two
I’m fine baby, how are you?
I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

Another summer day, another winter day, has gone by
In either Paris or Rome…
and I wanna to go home
…Home
and I’m surrounded by
a million people I
still feel all alone…
I wanna go home

Let me go home

It’s been a thrill
but I’ve had my fill
let me go home

And I feel just like I’m living
someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
and everything was going right
And I know just why you couldn’t come along with me
This was not your dream
but you always believed in me…

Another winter day
Has come and gone away
in either Paris or Rome
and I wanna go home
Let me go home

And I’m surrounded by
A million people I
still feel alone
I wanna go home
Let me go home

But it’ll all be alright,
I’m coming home
Tonight…”

When we get bored… :P

hmm.. Am I his fan or what? :P

Just some random pics. :)

Human Nature

Once In A Lifetime

Oh, yeah-yeah
(aahhh)
There’s something about you
What could it be?
I finally found my destiny
Now here you are within my reach

How did I miss you?
(how did i miss you)
When you were out there all the time
It took this moment
To make me realise

Once in a lifetime
You find your reason for living
You find the one who makes your every dream come true
(find the one who makes your dreams come true)
Though I could search the world forever
Noone else would do
’cause once in a lifetime you find someone like you
(once in a lifetime)

I waited for so long
(so long)
Thinking this cannot be the light
Spinning the wheels
(alone in the crowd)
All alone in the crowd
I went through the motions
(went through the motions)
And then out of heaven you appeared
(then out of heaven)
What was wrong
It suddenly is right

Once in a lifetime
You find your reason for living
You find the one who makes your every dream come true
(find the one who makes your dreams come true)
Though I could search the world forever
Noone else would do
’cause once in a lifetime you find someone like you
(find someone like you)

A heart that waits on love can grow so weary
(don’t you know a heart can grow so -)
And that doesn’t matter anymore
When you find the love you’re waiting for

Once in a lifetime
You find your reason for living
You find the one who makes your every dream come true
(oh you make it come true)
(find the one who makes your dreams come true)
Though I could search the world forever
Noone else would do
’cause once in a lifetime you find someone like you
’cause once in a lifetime you find someone, someone like you

My fat fingers and lousy phone camera does not do the ring justice!

Okay I’ve to blog about this! I think I’ve the bestest ex-colleagues. They never fail to meet up with me when I’m back and make it a point to either send me off or meet up with me the night before I flew.

Last december when I’m back in Singapore, I went shopping with the girls, Lifei and Jessie. Poor Anne is too occupied with work. Anyway, we were in Dorothy Perkins and this particular ring caught my attention. It was a really nice bling bling and I was asking myself if I should buy it…but in the end I didn’t. I wrestled with the idea for two months before I flew back. And guess what, the girls bought the ring for me and shipped it over for me as my birthday pressie! It was so so and extremely nice to see a parcel from Singapore and what’s more, from the three girls!

I LOVE YOU! :) I’m so blessed to have known you girls. hee

Ok apart from the fact that I’m older, fatter (and prettier)..
Do we look alike? hahaha…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY!! :)
I LOVE YOU!

Also,

March is always such a joyous month!

Ok, I don’t want to sound pathetic but I’ve class till evening and my best friends and buddies are not around to enjoy this day with me!

Food here are not exactly fantastic and darlin and I have tons of work to do! Stressful! :(

So, what’s the point of celebrating? Nevertheless, Happy 24th birthday to myself!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSIE!
Then again..I don’t think she reads blog. hee..

On a completely random note,

Look what studying had done to me.
The picture on the left was taken two years ago and the next pic, now.
My hair had been cut short and now grown long and I’ve also grown old. :(

Saturday in the library. How hardworking! :P

Saturday’s here and I don’t even think I can relax. Except for the fact that I may wake up later, it really is just like any other day. Tutorial started this week. All were fine except last evening Integrated Marketing Communication class.

First, it was over enrolled, partly because one of the classes was close due to poor enrolment and those students were thrown into this class. The tutor managed to get some of them to transfer to other class and the rest of us were supposed to form into groups. The boyfriend and I managed to team out with another two pleasant Singapore girls, Charmayne and Grace. We were suppose to choose from a list of topics what we are interested in doing for our presentation which weighs 30%. The tutor was SUPER disorganised. She just wave a piece of paper and tell one member from the group to go down to her table to fill up the slot that we want. Obviously, all of us would want to do the easier topics so there was a mad rush. Darlin was supposed to be second in line but the others (yeah, Asians but not Singaporean!) just snatched the paper and proceed to fill up their names! To think this is a level three course and most of the students are supposed to be final year students. What a disgrace! Having so many others cut his queue, the boyfriend was of course not able to get the desired slot. We had to make do with another. Just as we thought that will be all, we were given a dirty look by one of the “Ang Moh” in the group in front of us. I even heard him muttering something about “Chinese” or something close. Apparently, he had marked an asterisk in one of the slot instead of putting his name. The boyfriend had put down his name in that particular slot cos the tutor said that an asterisk doese not count. So, we ain’t wrong in taking up a slot that was not occupied officially right? And that person could have just written his name, why did he not done so? If an asterisk counts, probably I should have ask darlin to just put a smiley on one of the slot.

The “Ang Mohs” in our International Business class and even HRM class seems so much more refined than those in the marketing class. It’s “amazing” that even in the same school, and same race, they behaved so differently. I’m so glad that this is the only marketing course that we had to take.

Anyway, it was really stressful attending that class. All thru these 2 years in UQ, we had never once encountered such an incident in a tutorial before. Brutal Snatching, I’d call it! Usually what happened will be the tutor calling out a list of topics and we just raise our hand if we want it. If two teams want the same topic, we just pick lots. Isn’t it so much more organised and better? I think it all boils down to the inexperienced tutor who’s so lost oand disorganised. I hate her. She treat us like small children telling us about keeping quiet in class and she can be really nasty if she is angry. What the hell? You think we care??!!

To think this is out last semester, it really marred our experience. Gawd. :(

I like knowing about new things everyday. Be it big or small. I’m as happy as the girl in the pic!

Thanks darlin! :) I know I can always count on you!

Haha… just for the fun. You can try it too.

As strange as it sounds, I’m going to blog about my umbrealla which disappeared and appeared mysteriously and my friend Sylvia’s encounter with the imperial guard and her golden scarf!

About the umbrella…
The week before, on Monday, it was raining heavily and we had to use a an umbrella on the way to school. It’s just a normal small, folded, overpriced (cos we bought it in Brisbane!) brolly which is blue in color. Ok, when we the lecture theatre, the rain had somehow subsided and I folded and brolly and handed them to darlin. Being the very careful boyfriend, I always trust him to keep all his belonging properly. Unlike me, he know where he keeps hi stuff and I’ve not heard him losing a thing during this six years with him. So, after school it wasn’t raining anymore and we obviously forget about the brolly and left it in the boyfriend’s backpack.

About two days later, the rain was in Brisbane again and darn, we had to go to school. Darlin reminded me to bring the brolly as he assumed it was in my bag since he can’t find it in his. Being the usual careless and forgetful me, I panicked when I can’t find it in my bag. However, I’m quite sure I handed it over to the boyfriend just before lecture starts. We starting finger pointing and say each of us aren’t the brolly keeper. I searched my room and he searched his. no sign of the folded brolly. The boyfriend even went to the garage and ransacked his car. Still, no umbrealla. We emptied out bags, no umbrella. We were quite pissed and were nearly late for school. We have no choice but to grab the big brolly from the car. We don’t usually bring that out cos 1) It’s heavy and bulky 2) It has a metal tip and we are afraid that we will be strike by the lightning. After school, we searched around for the night and the next few days, still no umbrealla. We kinda resigned to the fact that we had lost the overpriced umbrealla.

Exactly one week later….
While I was bathing, I heard the boyfriend soemthing about the umbrealla. I didn’t really hear what he said and assumed that he’s just nagging about the lost brolly again. Anyway, when I came out of the bathroom, I saw the folded umbrealla lying on his bed! Hmm! He told me that he was jsut packing for school and the folded umbrealla was just there, just in his backpack. Ok, all of us know how small the backpack is and we are both quite certain that we had searched the whole bag! Amazingly, we didn’t see the brolly! The boyfriend was trying to scare me saying that someone or something might had borrowed them for the few rainy days and decided to return them after using! Oh my! As I examined the brolly, I got this quesy feeling in my stomach. It seems t be that someone had indeed used the brolly before and the way it had been folded back is just too neat to be done by me! Ok, maybe I’m just being paranoid but hey it’s scary alright! The boyfriend and I just hope the bigger one don’t disappeared from the car too!

On another note, I was talking to my friend Sylvia about this incredible encounter and she told me about hers. Hey Sylvia, correct me if I’m wrong about the details ok!

She had this sparkling golden colored scarf that she bought a while ago. On this particular night, before she sleep, she still saw the scarf tucked nicely somewhere near her. That night, she actually dreamt about wearing that golden scarf and arriving at those Chinese imperial court. When she was at the gate, she was denied entry just because she was wearing that scarf. The imperial guards told her to either give it to them or they have to arrest her. And of cos, my friend gave the scarf to the two guards. Ok, I can’t remember if she entered the court and made a complaint or whatsoever, but that’s nto the point.

The next morning…..
when she woke up, the golden scarf was gone! Even with the plastic bag that was holding it! she told me that the emperor or the guards must have really like her scarf and decided to keep it. Freaking isn’t it??!!

Ok, that’s so much the Mystery of the navy umbrealla and the golden scarf! Eeerks! :-S
