Valencia Oranges

Hi everyone…

Firstly, thank you so much for all your well-wishes.

I must say it wasn’t easy to go up to the stage and I wasn’t really prepared at all so no scripts were made and I actually blabbered some nonsense while up on stage!

“mypaper.sg” or “wo bao” actually has our “life” story featured last Wednesday. But I must say some of the facts were abit exaggerated. Whatever it is, I didn’t really expect such big publicity abt the proposal.

Initially when I planned this “surprise”, it just came to me as a normal message on screen and then when she sees that she will be very happy and so I put the ring on for her…etc..etc.. BUT as we were making our way to the concert last Saturday night, the event’s lady called me and asked for our chinese name, and so I thought maybe they might change the message from english name to our chinese name.

Until we reached our seats, the event’s person came and say hello to us! After so many emails we exchanged, I must say it’s really a pleasure to meet her “live” at the concert and thank her for everything that night! As she was too busy, she said to give me a call later…and soon she called me to say Wakin is asking us on stage later! I was abit shocked as previously advised that it’s impossible to go up due to security reasons.

So I guess it’s ok to just have the message flashed on screen. But the going on stage part really made me abit dumb-founded… after a while she called me again, say the media might be there to interview us. Be prepared! I said wow…maybe it’s just gonna be a small column on papers…etc.

She sms-ed me to say before the 6th song, we are supposed to go up! As I wasn’t really prepared to go up, I really didn’t know what to expect. But I must say Wakin is a very nice guy and talented singer. We will always support him!

The idea of going up on stage to do the proposal and the rest of the story is really just in the newspapers… hahahaha…

Alright, but overall I must say it’s a very memorable experience for both of us and I am sure we will remember it for the rest of our lifes together!

Hello!

Ok, the surprise is out

Darlin proposed during Wakin’s concert’s on the 2nd Dec 06. Talking about getting a big surprise! haaa.. I don’t have the pic right now but the event lady promised to send us when her phtographer pass to her. I didn’t know it will be such an issue until I saw the news on Lianhe Wanbao and my friend told me it’s on the 6:30pm news on Saturday? I missed the news cos I somewhere in Yishun bowling with darlina nd his buddies! Anyway, it was a pleasant surprise. Maybe I shall invite darlin to give an account from his pt of view.

Anyway, the night starts off with darlin bringing me to the concert. Prior to that, I kinda smell a ‘rat’ and knew that darlin has something up his sleeve since he had been behaving weirdly these few weeks. I ‘forced’ him to gave me some hints and all he would tell me is the word “SINGAPORE”. And immediately, I thought it’s the Singapore Zoo and at the back of my head, I was thinking if darlin will get an Orang Utan to bring the ring out and then put on the ring on for me. hahaha…But of cos this fantasy didn’t come true. Rather, it was after the 4th or 5th song that darlin dragged me on to the stage after Wakin’s announced something about love and proposal. While he was singing the song “明天我要嫁给你啦”, there was actually message playing across the screen. It starts off with “Valencia…….” and ended off with “Ying Hin”. And I knew it, the surprise is coming. It’s coming! hahaha…
