August 2007

Very excited. Photoshooting day tomorrow! Yipee! Definately an early night for us both tonight. :)

4 months later, I will already be a married woman. Can’t believe it man.

Spend a fruitful Sunday with darlin at Changi Beach. Wanted to have a mini pinic initially but it rained as soon as we stepped out of the car. What luck! Seeing my disappointment, darlin suggested having the pinic in the car instead. We moved to the back of seats and have our pinic there instead. It was fun seating at the back, chatting and reading newspaper as the rain falls on the car. Darlin was extremely supportive and finished all the food I’ve prepared. haha..It was simple food but seeing darlin finished all the food is very satisfying instead. The rain stopped after and we decided to popped by Ikea since we are already in the east side. The IKEA, COURTS and GIANT were really big! The queue was super looooong with at least 30 people in each queue and by the time we finished checking out, it rained again. we decided to head home and me being the lazy one, fell asleep in the car. It’s really a darn long way from Changi to Bukit Timah! Initially, I tried to sing for darlin to keep myself awake but realise I’m more of a noise hazard. Time might be very limited for us since we started on this job but I guess it’s really important for us to find time for each other. By the way, we discussed about where to go for honeymoon. Darlin had agree to give in to me by going to Japan instead of Europe. hehe… Ok I promise, my dear darlin, that we will visit Europe the next time we have travelling plans ok! :)

Another random note, PM Lee says that Punggol 21 is gonna be developed soon. I hope we can get a flat there man. But darlin says he will only consider if there’s an expressway right from punggol to Bukit Timah. Tell me lah, possible in the near future or not??

Ok, shall blog again.

Ok. I know it’s already 14th August, not 9th August.

Can’t sleep so woke up early today. Was randomly surfing thru youtube when I came across these two songs

These two songs always make me cry. They made me thought of the time in Australia. About how much I missed home. Sometimes when I’m on bad terms with darlin, (it happens ok, we are not perfect!), I just tune on to this songs. Although it made me cried more, somewhat I feel better. These songs really made me homesick at that point of time.

Yesterday was shopping day and shooping with mummy is always the best! I need not pay a single cent! :D And yea, got the 3 bottles of OPI at 9 bucks each from Lifei. Saw Dawn too! Her stomach is getting bigger! Wow..I can’t wait to see baby Ethan!

5th August was the CC National Day dinner and I’m glad everything went on smoothly. I was so stressed the day before, fearing that I won’t be able to handle the task that were handle to me. Luckily it was fine with an ex staff, Raymond, around with me. my colleague, another asst constituency mgr, Xinyi, did a perfect job planning the whole event. Not forgetting my another new ACM, Ke Ying, who did an excellent job as well! I hope I can do the same when it’s my time. Gosh. I better learn my rope fast. Counting back, it’s almost one month since I joined PA. Nothing much to complain except the very frequent OT that I’ve to do. Well to be frank, I don’t find it a chore. I guess it makes me feel better that I am able to complete whatever projects I have on hands. I guess I understand now why in my previous company, the managers always stayed back while the advisors will always try to leave on time. It’s just feel different when you are a manager. You (and your company) will expect you to contribute more to the organisation. Talking about projects, I’ve just completed the HOUGANG IN TOUCH newsletter. *Phew* I’m glad the newsletter was out before the deadline. Now my next task will be to ‘revamp’ the cc courses and of course to improve participant rate across all courses. I better start preparing my proposal soon.

Wedding prep - now consolidating the guests that we are inviting. Sounds pretty simple but for any couples who are getting married, I think this is the msot daunting task. You will come across things like, “relative A don’t like to sit with relative B” etc… And worst, some relatives and friends will not tell you if they are coming or not coming. Nope, I’m not talking about not receiving their ang baos or what. But imagine, a half filled ballroom? I hope mine won’t be this way. I just hope my friends and relatives are supportive enough. Photoshooint in 3 weeks time. Darlin and I hardly have time to rest. Both of us are extremely busy with our work. And yea, darlin bought a suit from Guy Laroche for our wedding. Looks good. Initially he wanted to get one from KENZO but the boutique only carries size 48 which is a size too small for him. I was relieved. The kenzo suit cost a bomb. Duhz!

Alright. will update again. I am so getting not enough sleep. :( *Yawn*
