Been extremely busy. Ever since I started my new job, it seems to me that I haven’t got a full day rest. There seems to be new things to be done, project to be completed, events to plan every now and then. 3 months passed without me even realising it. However, there’s still much to learn. I must be more organised and more firm.
No doubt I love this job. It’s totally different from what I have been doing previously at BW. At BW, we were assigned our work on a daily basis, we have to complete the load of work given within the day. The email that we sent out were audited repeatly before it is sent out to the customer. In my current job, and probably cos it’s consider a managerial position, I am given so much more empowerment and involvement in all the projects. I have to make decisions everyday. I admit it’s stressful. Phone calls on your off day, events that are attended by the ‘big’ people. However, it’s fulfilling though it comes with huge responsibility. I just realise why I am always so tempted to be on MC in my last job. Main reason, I feel unimportant and even if I am not around, someone else can do the work. I doesn’t have to be around for the whole thing to be completed. However, I can’t afford to be on long leave or even MC. Not that my boss don’t allow long leave, but the thought of my events coming up and project not done worries me. On a random note, I think my boss is a super woman. She’s giving birth this week and she still return to clear some outstanding work. I kowtow to her. haha..
Aside from work, I feel that I have to blog about some interesting things that i sees on my way to work everyday.
- Once I saw this woman from CXXXX, sitting at the front of the bus and you know what, using her palm to wipe her armpits. The worst thing is, she smell her palm after that. Ok, if it’s once or twice I understand. After all, we get itchy there sometimes. But this lady, she did it repeatly like 3, 4 times?! Even the uncle beside her was stunned. Oh gosh.
- Another time, I saw this ah gong bringing his grandson out. They were using coins so the ah gong seeing that the grandon is not tall enough to deposit the coins, put the coins in himself. The grandson kicked up a fuss and marched to the seat, stamping his feet. He even refused to let his ah gong sit down. In the end, the ah gong chose a seat in front of the grandson. Then as the bus started to move, the grandson starts to punch the ah gong’s head repeatly from the back! Oh my god! The ah gong just smile and did not even bother to scold him. One auntie on the bus was so annoyed that she scolded the boy. Poor ah gong. Your daughter/son better give you good allowance man.
Sometimes I really wonders. what goes on in all these people’s head!
