Ok I admit I am lazy and I have not been taking photos lately. But you can totally blame it on the new HP iPaq Voice messenger that I’ve been using. The resolution sucks and I am really pissed especially when I am in an awesome place with beautiful surrounding. However, I shan’t discredit this phone. Thought the resolution sucks, it’s extremely useful for taking self buay hio buay portrait. It doesn’t show any uneven skin tone or dark circles. Ok I digressed. I had wanted to talk about the places where I went.
Went to the Army museum and also the Singapore discovery center with darlin. The initial plan was to go to jurong point to do some shopping but darlin got lazy and wasn’t in a mood for shopping. Me being the very understanding wife agrees to skip the shopping. Seeing how disappointed I was and since we are in the west side, darlin decided that perharps we should drop by the Army Museum instead. Furthermore, it’s free entry from now till end December. I’m quite impressed by the whole structure and the army actually built it up within 1.5 year. That’s quite a feat consider the vast area it is covering and all the artifacts inside the building. We get to watch some clips about life in the army and both of us were kinda touched by the clips. It actually shows a young man going to the army, exercising, marching and towards the last, he retiring into bed. Before he went to sleep, he actually looked at his handphone and read the sms from his gf “Hi dear, how’s everything?
and he replied “I’m fine. Can’t wait to see you this weekend”. It suddenly brought the both us back to the times when darlin was in the army. I sms-ed darlin every night and that was what he replied me back. Waiting and receiving his sms at night really brings a smile to my face. Both of us kinda teared and darlin give me a tight hug. We had indeed come a long way. After the museum, we went on to the Singapore Discovering center to catch a show. this documentary shows how a group of people ascend the Mount Everest. I admire their courage and also their passion for doing the things they like. The mountain looks so scary and dangerous. One of the team member actually lost his life during the expedition. One of them lost his nose and fingers to frostbites. However, they lived life with no regrets. I wish I have this courage, this gut and this passion to do something I like. After the movie we went on to look at the different systems put up at the SDC. Darlin got very interested talking to the Robot and ended up talking to the robot for 10min! It was clearly someone manipulating the robot but darlin just get a kick out of talking to a metal. Haha..darlin can be quite a silly boy sometimes! I should have snapped some pics of darlin talking to that piece of metal. I think it’s call Little George.
Aside from the above, I also went for massage at Wellness Village at the Chinatown Branch. The massage was good and I ended up falling asleep during the 90minutes massage and scrub. Mummy liked it too. And since mummy like it, I signed on another 22 sessions. The branch at Pan Pacific looks big. We are definately going to try the Pan Pac one next time round. I’m sure darlin will love it too. Darlin is a sucker for massage. This husband of mine is very weird. He might not bear to spend money on a shirt for himself but is a total sucker for facial and massage for both of us. Well again if it benefits me, why not! haha….
Alright, time to get ready for work. Promised. More pictures next time.
