September 2009

My baby took half a step unassisted last night! All of us were in front of the Tv watching the F1 race when baby just stand up and walk (ok a little)! I managed to catch her first step!

Am a happy mum! :)

I don’t understand how this post can disappear repeatedly for the last 2 weeks?!!

Being a full time mother has certainly enable me to monitor Sheryl’s development better (and also to take lotsa pictures of her). I love it when I opened my eyes in the morning and see her peering over me with her little toothy grin. Since I am around her most of the time, I am often the first one to know when she learns how to say mama, baba, or when she learns a new skill like searching and reaching for her toys under the sofa. Now and then when she is asleep, I like to look through all the pictures that I’ve taken of her since the day she was born. Looking at how much she has grown always bring along some tears of contentment.

Sheryl Ang calling me??!! hehehe…

Aside from this, Missy Ang seems to be able to sleep thru the night without any feed since two days ago! I do hope this can continue so that darlin and myself can get more undisturbed sleep. I once heard some mummies and daddies are just so lucky to have their baby sleep thru the night at 4 mth old?!

Anyway, tried a new combi today. Spinach, carrot and minced chicken porridge for Sheryl. She polished off the whole bowl within 15 minutes and gave me a big big grin! It’s really things like this that makes me feel so happy and appreciated. Of cos, there are times when I feel so disappointed and angry when she refused to have her meals. Not at her but at myself. I often told myself that I should have cook something that tasted better and more nutritious.

Now I know why my mum feels so happy whenever I finished off what she cooked!

Just patted Sheryl to sleep. On days when she is very very sleepy, she can actually go to sleep herself after rolling about in bed. However, most of the time, she needs me to be by her side, to sing and pat pat her. From the day she was borned, I will sing this particular song to her when I am trying to make her sleep. As time goes by, she will gradually fall asleep in my arms when I hummed this song. I love this song. Somehow when I sing this song, I can visualise my mum carrying me (as a baby of cos) and singing this song to me. I asked my mum one day if she did sing this song to me since I have such a deep impression of it. I even sang for her. She laughed and say NO! She said she did not sing it so horribly. WHAT THE???!! hahaha..Anyway, here’s the song.

紫竹
一根紫竹直苗苗
送给宝宝做管箫
箫儿对正口
口儿对正箫
箫中吹出是新调
小宝宝一滴一滴学会了
小宝宝一滴一滴学会了
